What is Your Path? Non-specific personal Paganism
About Me Hi. I'm 23, and just starting to explore alternate paths. I am usually very busy, but during the summer months I am on my break from school and I spent most of it gardening or doing all of those things I was unable to do when I was writing 10-15 page research papers. I'm in college. I start my 5th year at KSU in August. I'm majoring in English and minoring in Studio Arts and Medieval Studies. I am a huge nerd when it comes to English, but I'm flexible too. I'm relaxed and groovy, for the most part, like Ghandi and Jesus (Thank you, Eddie Izzard).
Music Oh, I like too much. Lately the list has been narrowed to a lot of dark, brooding rock, but I like everything from hiphop to NIN to opera to bellydance music. Country music makes me twitch, but I can't say I hate it completely, either.
    Movies So many.
TV I don't watch TV. I record a few shows once in awhile, but I am not a TV watcher. The shows I record are: Avatar(cartoon), Inuyasha(cartoon), Shimmy(Fitness channel), The Adventure of English(history channel, great show) and Inhale(morning yoga routine that I try to do when no one's home).
Books Laurell K Hamilton is currently my favorite author, but my favorite book of all time is still "Keeper of the Crystal Spring" by Naomi and Deborah Baltuck. It makes me smile.
Hobbies I crochet, read, paint, plant herbs that always die (but I still try again every year), and do a little yoga when I have time and privacy.

    Another day, Another post.

    Greetings Blogular-thing.

    Ohio is an odd state.
    Just 2 weeks ago,
    I was freezing and
    wearing my jacket everywhere.
    Now,
I just can't get naked enough
    to be cool.

The breeze coming in the window
    smells of the water,
but there are no lakes or oceans
    where I'm at.

    It's strange.

    My basil is suffering.
It'll probably die before the week is up.
Such is the way of plants I have.
    I killed my ferns too.
Perhaps I should just avoid the plants altogether.
    At least they'd have a longer life-expectancy.

    Who knows.

I guess I am off now
    to bigger
    and far more boring
    things.

    Have a nice day, Blogular-thing.
    Hopefully you have ac.
    I know I don't.

    A new Blog...

    Thursday, May 22, 2008, 11:27 AM [General]

    Hello New Blogular-thing!
I am starting a new chapter in my blogging.
This might be good for me.
I could use an opportunity to vent
    my religious issues of late
far from those who judge me
and respond to me in anger.

For those of you new to my Blogular-thing,
my style is a little different than most.

    This tends to get poetic,
    both in form
    and occasionally in rhyme.
    Line breaks are made intentionally.

    I like to rant.
    It's what I do.
    I talk to my Blog.
    That's never going to change
    (no matter what Liz says).

    That being said,
I am currently discovering the path
    that best suits me.
    I was raised Baptist
and while their values are acceptable,
    I am not happy
    with the methods they use
    to enforce them.

I like different aspects of different paths,
and I am very much still learning.
It's been a struggle to let go
of the religious bias that I was raised with,
    but it's getting better.
Pavlovian responses are hard to break.

I'll talk to you later Blogular-thing.
    I'll miss you!!
    *hugs*
